Volunteer Opportunities
Greater Washington County Food Bank offers a fun, meaningful time for all volunteers, as well as a rewarding team-building experience for groups of any size.
STEP 2:
Schedule yourself for any of the scheduled volunteer opportunities at the different departments below. Once you have completed your digital volunteer application (Step 1), you can move forward with scheduling your day(s) and time(s) to volunteer. It's easier than ever to become a Food Helper! Packing Boxes: Helping GWCFB pack the boxes we give out across the county each month, plus supporting tasks such as sorting health and beauty items, sorting locally donated goods, and more.

Virtual Education Host: To ensure education continues to occur during COVID-19, we are in need of guest hosts for Training Center Tuesdays, a virtual education series hosted by HHTC. When in-person classes resume, we are looking for individuals to host cooking classes and educational seminars on a variety of topics. Please message us on Facebook for details.

Sorting Donated Items: Volunteers are needed to help with the weekly collection of donated items.

Stocking Shelves on the Weekends: Hang and organize clothing and linens, organize and shelve new merchandise form local retailers, and to perform various light cleaning duties.
