In this season of giving thanks, we offer our sincere gratitude to you for your service in support of the Food Helpers mission. This fall with your assistance, we are nearing our goal to meet the $250,000 Challenge grant from our Washington County Community Foundation. As you know last weekend, we distributed over 1,200 Turkeys and full dinners to residents of the county via two distributions in Washington and Donora, more than doubling our efforts over last year. These efforts enable our outreach to connect with those who deal daily with food insecurity.
I continue to be overwhelmed by the genuine spirit of compassion that you show for our clients. Not only are we thankful for your service, we are also thankful for your loyalty. This year has certainly been challenging with so many lives being affected by our pandemic situation. So many more of in our communities have had to reach out for help. It has been very uplifting to see people come together, work together, to help one another and to provide Real Food…for Real People…in Real Time!
You are an important part of what makes this community so special! We thank you for your generous contribution of self and service to the fight to end hunger.
In the season of giving thanks and all through the year, we are grateful to you!
WARMEST WISHES FOR A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
From Everyone at Food Helpers and the Greater Washington County Food Bank
