To form lasting solutions to hunger insecurity through effective food distribution systems; to educate and empower the needy in seeking positive lifestyle changes; and, to create awareness through individual and community partnerships.

Greater Washington County Food Bank distributes food to in rural areas, food deserts, for seniors 60+, as well as individualized solutions for short-term needs. Learn more about each program, including our Community Outreach Food Program.

Support the GWCFB through a charitable donation to Food Helpers, being able to designate your donations towards the purchase of food distributed in the community.

Schedule yourself to volunteer at our warehouse facility to pack boxes ahead of local distributions, or help with the distributions themselves. Individuals and small groups are welcomed to help at our warehouse facility.

Washington County
has an estimated 26,000 people who
are food insecure, and 46% may not be ineligible for county pantries - that's where we come in.

Over 30% of our clients are children under the age of 18 and over 20% are senior citizens.

During 2020, GWCFB distributed more than 7.5 million pounds of food across Washington County, three times the amount of 2019.

For every $1 you donate, we can
distribute as many as five meals into the community.

GWCFB spends around $1,200 per month on fuel to transport food to distribute  around Washington County.
