Did you know that your local organizations, like schools, churches, community centers, sports teams and so many more work with us to reach individuals and families in need in your own community?

If your organization is ready to volunteer, let us know! https://foodhelpers.org/volunteer/

There are an estimated 1,429 food-insecure children in elementary schools in Washington County. Our Little Moochi program serves 63,000 Moochi Paks to 11 school districts, 9 of which are in Washington County. Not all families are eligible for traditional food pantry systems or school meal programs. It is estimated that 471 of these hungry elementary school children may not qualify for the programs they desperately need, which is why the Moochi Paks and our community outreach distributions to families and children are important to bridge the gap.

Help us reach our goal by donating today at https://foodhelpers.org/#donate

A Message from George J. Omiros, CFRE, CAE, President & Chief Executive Officer:

This week is National Volunteer Week and we would like to extend a huge thank you to all who have given their time to volunteering!

Your helped impacted the lives of thousands of individuals and families in Washington County through your commitment to address food insecurity. Your support of Food Helpers’ mission allows us to serve families and children by providing food and other items to support their health.

We deeply appreciate your willingness to donate your time, your talent, and your treasury to fuel our efforts to address our Mission.

We need your efforts now more than ever as donors across our nation have slowed down their giving. We look forward to your continued volunteer engagement with Food Helpers/dba Greater Washington County Food Bank.

With Deepest Gratitude for all that you do for Food Helpers,
George

Together, we can all be Food Helpers. By designating Greater Washington County Food Bank, Healthy Habits Training Center, Country Thrift Market, and The FARM as four unique programs under Food Helper’s umbrella, we can provide a well-rounded experience of escaping the food insecurity cycle, especially in Washington County.

You can be a part of the solution by donating today! https://foodhelpers.org/#donate
